"The theatre club of our college has given us opportunity to explore, enhance and experience. Even though I joined the club very late. I have got to learn a lot of things from our teacher coordinator-Dr Preeti Tewari and my fellow club members. The street play which I took part in was my first ever experience with such an amazing team. We have got to learn team work and how to support each other in any kind of situation during the play. I have gained a lot of confidence and self control which helped me to perform in front of such a huge audience."
From my personal experience I can say that the college theater club is like a stress reliever. When it comes to cheering practice session - because we always laugh and have fun during practice. In addition to that, I learnt a lot of new things through this club. And yes, I chose this club in order to overcome my stage fear and it really helped to overcome it. So, I always say that this is the best platform to overcome stage fear. And yes, “I feel proud to be a part of theater club: *Naatyotsav*”
Street play means act performed on streets. On streets you don’t have live music, lights etc. It is very difficult to for performance to hold the audience together but I and my team members are so energetic that whenever we start our play we call each and every people sitting in the audience to watch our play and it helped me to overcome with my stage fear. The experience was so good that it can’t be described by words.
It is a wonderful experience to be a part of our theatre group 'Natyotsav' under the mentorship of our beloved teacher Dr. Preeti Tewari ma'am we have learned a whole lot of theatre skills like mono acting, drama skills and street play skills. It was a joyful as well as an adventurous journey in which we have explored different dimensions of our persona and found our ways too. Many college events and street play competitions throughout the country which in return gave us the opportunity to show our innate as well as acquired talents to the mass audience at different places.
Theatre training is of great value to me as it has developed effective communication skills and an interactive style. It has helped me to gain confidence and to be disciplined at the same time. 'Naatyotsav' our theatre club is now 9 months old. It has taught us an art of laughing and crying when you actually don't feel anything. Positive energy created by our members and mentors has helped us bloom in various aspects. We were lucky to grab each opportunity that came in our way. We went to IIL Indore, G.L. Bajaj Greater Noida for a street play. Doing theatre at our college (Lloyd Law College) was a great experience. Emotions, thoughts, and dreams that they might not otherwise have means to express. I thank Naatyotsav for building my personality and perspective to look at things in a positive manner now.
I feel extremely happy to share my joyful journey with "Naatyotasav" as being a part of this club made me more strong, expressive and fearless. While working with this club I had stage fear but my co-actors were so supportive and also our head Dr. Preeti Tewari helped us a lot and we made it a memorable journey. I would thank Dr. Preeti Tewari for giving me this opportunity. Also I would wish to be a part of this club as far as possible.

I am Geetika Verma from Lloyd Law College B.A.LL.B - I. I am an active member of theatre society of our college and my experience in the plays we did is very nice. Our mentor is very helpful and always brings the good in us, I have learnt a lot from her and the other members of our society, my first play was a street play in IIL - Indore on Triple Talaq in which we didn't win but still for our mentor we are the winners and she never lets the spirit die in us. Our second play was in our own college for which we prepared in just two days, for me alone it was impossible but our team spirit made it. We got lot of appreciation for the work we did. I wish I'll do many more plays with the same team and the same mentor.
My self Sheshadri and I am a first year law student. I am a member of theatre society of my college. I am learning so many new things from my theatre class. This society helped me in gaining confidence. It also helped me in improving public speaking. And I like to give special thanks to Pretti ma'am for making the theatre class very enjoyable.
I’m Rishabh and I am a Law student at Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida. I am an active member of the theatre club named Naatyotsav founded by our own (faculty) ma'am Dr. Preeti Tewari. When I joined this club, I was totally ‘zero’, unaware of anything about acting. But, ma'am inspired me by saying that, at least, you tried. Don’t worry my child you will learn it slowly. Yes! ma'am was correct. Good things take time! I got to learn how, when and in what amount to express your feelings and show your expressions. I never thought that to act is so difficult. But, later I realized that it too needs a lot of hard work. I finally understood that if you try and work hard, anything gets achievable I learnt many things and got experience and I am very happy that ma'am and Director Sir have both always shown faith in the students like me. Special thanks to Sabika ma'am. She is our guest faculty. She also teaches us new things and it is carried forward by our own Head Coordinator ma'am. Many thanks to Preeti ma'am and Director Sir!
‘Naatyotsav’ is a place where I forget every bad thing and can just be myself and enjoy the best form of expressing ourselves through theatre. I am enough blessed to have a wonderful mentor and a great team which seems like family now. Though I couldn’t represent my college yet (due to some personal issues) but my team did. They even won few and lost in few. Though, most importantly, they did their best and made their mark. , I think this is what makes this club different. We perform to express ourselves and to motivate ourselves because this makes us content and happy. Honestly speaking, I learnt a lot and am still learning from my mentor and from my team mates. Every session is a totally different experience from working on expressions to all the character- building activities. Our mentor Dr. Preeti Tewari has a ‘Pandora box’ always ready for us with a new activity and approach on every session. One never knows what’s going to come out from it the next. Naatyotsav is an initiative to grow the theatre culture in our law college and make a family so that it can become a legacy for the future batches.
